Gyms, schools & large rooms.
Acoustic treatment for gyms, cafeterias, and large school rooms cuts the long reverberation that hard floors, block walls, and high ceilings create — the echo that turns whistles, PA announcements, and instruction into a wash. Suspended baffles and clouds are sized to the room's volume and placed to intercept sound before it reflects, measurably lowering reverberation time (RT60) so speech is clear across the Phoenix metro.

Gymnasiums, cafeterias, and multipurpose rooms are all hard surfaces and volume — great for sport, punishing for speech. We bring the echo down so a whistle, a PA announcement, or a normal conversation is intelligible instead of a wash.
In schools and public buildings we design to the room and the budget: suspended baffles and slat systems that pull the ring out of the space, color-matched and mounted to hold up in a busy building.
What the work includes
- Suspended baffles and clouds for high, hard ceilings
- Wall and slat systems mounted to take abuse
- Speech clarity for PA systems and assemblies
- Measured before and after, so the change is documented
We install Snowsound and Soelberg MUTO acoustic products, measure every room first, and back every install with a one-year workmanship warranty. See how we approach a space →
Questions we hear
- Why is it so hard to hear announcements in our gym?
- A gym is a large volume of air surrounded by hard, reflective surfaces, so sound bounces for a long time before it fades — that long reverberation smears speech and PA into an unintelligible wash. Absorptive baffles sized to the room shorten that decay so announcements land clearly.
- Will the baffles hold up in a busy school building?
- Yes. We spec and mount suspended baffles and slat systems to take the abuse of a working gym or cafeteria, color-matched to the space. They're installed to stay put and keep performing in a high-traffic building.
